Rockin Green Laundry Detergent (45/90)

Marci from Rockin Green Laundry Soap  was kind enough to send me four sample packs of Rockin Green Laundry Detergent to test on my diaper laundry.  The four scents I received were:  Rage Against the Raspberry, Earth, Wind and Orchids, Motley Clean in Classic Rock formula and Lavender Mint Revival in Hard Rock formula.

I have to say, I love the names!  They make me laugh :)

I wanted to be sure that I was using the detergent correctly, so I followed the instructions on the packages.  
1.  Savor the smell of your Rockin' Green  detergent.
2.  Dump your diapers / clothes into the washer and do a cold rinse / wash to get the nasties out prior to the wash cycle.  The more water, the better!

3.  Add the detergent, and do a hot wash.  Use 2-3 tbsp per load

4.  Double rinse.

This seemed to work great for us.  And I made sure to savor the smell first!  Personally, I love Motley Clean the best out of my scents which surprised me. 

Once this detergent has gone through the wash cycle and the rinse cycles, the wonderful scents are gone :(  But that's also helpful in knowing if the rinse cycles have washed out all of the detergent.

We have not had any stink issues or rash issues from detergent not getting rinsed out of the diapers completely.  

You can also use Rockin' Green Soap  to soak your diapers.  To do this, you simply fill your washer with hot water and 3 tbsp of Rockin' Green along with your diapers.  Let it soak for 30-60 minutes, then launder as usual skipping the soap.  We intended to try this out because I know some of my diapers could benefit from this, especially the microfiber inserts, but Maggie ended up very sick for a week and I ran out of time and energy to do this.  

Overall, I loved my Rockin' Green Soap and will be using more.
