Blissful Booty Diaper *Review* *Giveaway*

Cathy from Blissful Booty sent me one of the new Perfect Pocket OS Diapers in my choice of color / print and closure to review.  Since John was home, I decided to let him pick out the diaper.  He chose the Hunter Minkee print.  I kind of new that would be his choice since we both hunt.  I was kind of leary because some of the camo prints you see aren't that cute.  This diaper was that cute!  I mean completely adorable!  And very soft.  Cathy also sent us the included bamboo insert as well as an extra microfiber insert to compare and use together.  When it arrived, I couldn't wait to get it on her!

My thoughts and opinions

Like I said in the beginning - I fell in love with this diaper as soon as I opened the package.  I love the minkee fabric and the Hunter pattern is so cute.   I love the color coordinated snaps.  I am also a huge fan of bamboo, so to have a bamboo insert included, I was even more excited!  I love diapers with double leg gussets; not only are they very effective, I think they look cute too.  This is the first diaper I have used that has both front and back waist elastic, so I wasn't sure what to expect.  The elastic was very gentle on Maggie's skin and never left red marks, yet left a very snug fit which ensured there would be no leaking out of any messes at the waist.  The pocket was easy to stuff.  

This diaper was somewhere in the middle as far as being narrow between her legs.  We have some that are more narrow, but also have some that are wider between the legs.

I really like the suedecloth on the inside.  It doesn't seem to pill as much as fleece, and is much more lightweight on Maggie's skin.  The pocket for stuffing the diaper isn't that big, but because of the elastic is still very easy to stuff.  There is plenty of room to grow in this diaper as you can see from the two pictures above, one on the smallest setting, one on the largest.

I always got a fantastic fit with this diaper, and put it on her whenever we would be out and people would get to see it.  I fully intended to pour water onto the two inserts to get a very accurate idea of how much each would hold, but I was so excited to put it on her that I never remembered to do that.

Both inserts held up very well for us.  We used them separately as well as together.  We used the diaper for daily use, nap time and nighttime.  I prefer bamboo overall just because, but did not have any problems with the microfiber insert.  The bamboo insert didn't seem to wash up as well as the microfiber, and after just a few initial washes, it seemed to me that it was not in as good of shape as it was originally.  It did not however affect the absorbency of the insert.

3 upper snaps and 1 thigh snap. 

I also really love the snaps on this diaper.  There are 3 across the top and 1 on the bottom, so the diaper would be much harder for a toddler to pull off on his / her own.  Luckily, we don't have that problem, but it would be handy if we did.  This may be a drawback if you had a little chunker I suppose and couldn't snap all 3 around the waist.  Not sure about this though, as we still had room to grow on the snaps.

My overall opinion of this diaper is that I love it!  I am excited to get to try it out on the new baby in a few months and see how well it fits a newborn.
